• User Identifiers: We generate and assign a unique user identifier (UUID) to your installation of the extension.
• Usage Telemetry & Analytics: We track engagement metrics, such as how long the extension remains active (e.g., 30-minute and 2-hour activity pings) and interactions with specific features (like the Action Button and Music Player).

How We Use Your Data
We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Feature Functionality: To display your most visited sites, render the weather widget, and provide functional web search capabilities.
• Analytics and Improvement: To monitor extension performance, stability, and user engagement levels over time using the assigned unique user identifiers.
• Content Delivery: To communicate with VMN-operated servers to download background images, quotes, and related content updates.

Local Storage and Extension Settings
The extension uses Chrome's Storage API to store user preferences and settings locally within your browser. Examples include display preferences, theme settings, your unique user ID, customization options, and locally saved favorite music tracks.

Data Sharing and Third Parties
We share specific data with third-party service providers to facilitate the extension's functionality and business operations:

• Analytics Providers: Usage telemetry and unique user IDs are transmitted to Google Analytics and our own Visicom Media Network tracking servers (Piwik) for product analysis

Website and Server Logs
Like most online services, our hosting infrastructure automatically generates technical server logs that can include your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, and the date and time of requests. User preferences and local settings remain on your device until they are removed by you, browser settings are cleared, or the extension is uninstalled.
